Jajuk's UI is simply exhellent. Too bad I cannot do
much with it, as 95% of my music collection are .flac
and .mpc files...
I know that it is not so easy to impement more formats
via pure java. Perhaps Jajuk could call instead some
sound server like arts, gstreamer or whatever?

Hi,
I understand but we have as principel not to deal with JNI
and OS-based stuffs : it's positively a nightmare (we only
use JNI with the tray and it's a major source of problems).
We only integrate pure Java Sound API. We expect that a
group ( javazoom?) will provide someday a MPC and Flac
decoder. For the moment, I personnaly convert all MPC to OGG
with little lost of quality.

Hi,

I just figured out that there is a FLAC java SPI
implementation. I expect Flac format to be available in next
Jajuk release (0.3.1).

I think I have been too fast with flac : indeed jajuk reads
flac but I just figured out that I don't know how to get
callbacks informations like length and position using jflac
api. I asked them and I don't expect it in immediate next
release but probably some times after. About MPC, I don't
heard about any java implementation.

Still nothing from MPC's side but 1.4 will bring APE/MAC support

No MPC support is foresee for now (we depends here on mplayer). Please follow http://wiki.jajuk.info/index.php/Supported_formats

jajuk can play mpc's just fine but it doesn't read any tags

Right, please find the exhaustive list of supported formats at http://jajuk.info/index.php/Supported_formats

We don't expect MPC tags support soon (not supported neither by entagged nor by jaudiotagger tag libraries)
