Description

Can we have support for .pls file format? See example on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PLS_%28file_format%29 This should be straight forward to implement and I guess in the same way as .m3u?

This should be trivial to implement as it is supported by mplayer by default?

Reading it, yes but:

  • parsing it and supporting it in the playlist view, no
  • writing it no
  • managing several playlist formats with GUI changes, no comboboxes... no

BTW, I'm not sure that we want to invest more time into playlists management, I prefer to concentrate on direct use features.

We could begin by just reading .pls even if users could ask why can't they write to pls format an the other side...
