Shortcut issues under mandriva

Description 

Hello,

I installed java at first and all was fine. Then I
installed de rpm jajuk for mandrake 10.1 :
jajuk-1.0.3-1mdk.noarch.rpm
The installation was really well done ; well I thought
so but actually from that time, I could only open
Jajuk. Every links are going wrong. I don't have access
to the configuration system either. There isn't
anything left in the star button. Why is my computer
going wrong? also, when I unistall jajuk all is going
well again. I tried to reinstall it and it starts
again! May I have some help??!

Hi,

Sorry, I don't see what you mean by 'links are goind wrong'.
Can you provide more traces (if jajuk is started, please
send an error report using Help->Send error report). if not,
please send your ~/.jajuk/jajuk.log. Check you java is
installed (java -version should return 1.5).

Hello,
I actually mean the shortcuts of linux. They nearly all
don't work any more. There are no errors when I turn Jajuk
on and Java is perfectly installed as I can turn on Jajuk
properly when I launch it online. The system also works good
But I would like to install it with rpm but mandrakelinux
doesn't seem to appreciate... when I install it with rpm,
jajuk works but mandrakelinux doesn't any more (shortcuts
problem, configuration panel disappears)... actually only
the rpm seems to not work on my computer. It makes a real
mess. I can't send the log as I uninstall it. 
thanks for your help but want is going wrong??

Please provide detailed error messages. I don't see any link
between jajuk rpm and symbolic links (the jajuk rpm desn't
use symbolic links itself and just perform a shortcut
reorganization). Do you mean shortcuts problems or symbolic
links problems ?

I mean the shortcuts problem. There aren't any detailed
error messages. Actually all the shortcuts are dissapearing
when I install the rpm and all are comming back when I
unistall it.  not the shortcuts for Jajuk, but all the
schortcuts to turn other applciations on. Some of them are
still visible but they are broken... and they work again
when I unistall the rpm... Perhaps the rpm perform a
shortcut reorganization but I can't create new ones
anymore... What can I do??

Jajuk rpm performs a 'update-menus' command to make new
icons appear (this is the standard way to do it under
mandriva and we tested it successfully under mdk 10.1).
Please try to launch a update-menus from console when your
shortcuts are wrong and tell us if it fixes your problem.

Hello,
Wel actually I did it befor the problem appears and it
worked! I can't believe it! But now when I start Jajuk with
the consol, look what happens :

[administrateur@arnaud administrateur]$ jajuk

Couldn't execl robot child process: Permission denied

The same happens when I try to launch it with root
I don't understand why and what do I have to do?

About shortcuts: I forget to tell you that I observed a bug
under mdk: after an update-menus (ie after the rpm install),
you have to wait about 1 min for shortcuts to refresh. If
you try to navigate into shortcuts before, you can have
issues as you described.

About your sound issue, please provide full log
(~/.jajuk.log) and check that /dev/dsp is r/x for users.

here is the log file. Actually the shortcut didn't appear
but I don't mind!! If I can start it with the consol all is
fine!

Strange (note that shortcut under MDK is a mess). Anyway, do
you mean it works using command line (/usr/bin/jajuk) ?
If no, note you can try java we start online from jajuk web
site... Please give us feedback.

I still have a problem when I launch it with the consol :

Jajuk can't start; It stops and I can't do anything about it?
What is the problem? and /dev/dsp is r/x for users
