I read an answer from bflorat on an other ticket:

"Note that we use a library that stores tags in ID3 V2.4 format (at least for .mp3 files) and that some old software only read IDV1 tags instead of the new IDV2.4 tags."

Why not to write ID3v1.1 Tags in addition to the ID3v2.4 Tags to keep the compatibility for ex. with the windows explorer and other 'stupid'/age-old software?

This is a good suggestion. We'll check this with the JAudiotagger team but I guess that some technical issues prevented to do so.

Another question according v2.4: Is it planned to use more than one value for these tags?

In Wikipedia I find (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ID3#Multiple_values_in_v2.4_tags):

Multiple values in v2.4 tags

The version 2.4 of the standard prescribes that the text fields (all the fields starting with a T except TXXX) can contain multiple values separated by a null character. The null character is the one represented by the termination code for the character encoding used.

Will this be possible in a future release of Jajuk?

JAudiotagger supports this so it may be technically possible. However, the cost on current Jajuk model is probably very high and I'm pretty skeptical with the real utility of it beside very specific cases. I set this a feature request.
