1.8 QP: Not all albums are listed in 'Albums Catalog', but too much in 'Albums table'

Hi,

the info in the status bar at the lower right corner indicate that my collections contains 890 Albums which can't be correct, because this value is MUCH too high!

So, when I open the 'Albums Catalog' tab it's showing just 40 items whereas the 'Albums table' tab has listed many albums several times... Then i checked for duplicate tracks, but this looks ok.

Maybe something corrupt with the database?

btw - I've started jajuk via eclipse using 1.8-trunk.

There is one thing I've figured out: The repeated entries in 'Albums table' might be caused because the songs are from the same album, but stored in various folders on the disk.

The album catalog view performs more grouping of albums than the album table to avoid getting too many "dups" : all albums from a single directory are grouped together.

In my case, I indeed find few cases as you describe but they looks to be right. The widest case is when several files of a directory contains different names of album in each file ID3 tag, eg:

/.../directory

/a.mp3 : album tag = foo /b.mp3 : album tag = bar

Could you check if it's your case ? Having the same files in different location should not create dups as albums are "logical" items in jajuk and independant of directory location.
