Description

If I rip a track with cdex and the predefined lame options I cannot play the track in jajuk. I checked the track by playing it directly with mplayer and this worked, I played it with foobar and atunes, it works. I increased the timeout (network source), nothing helps. Playing tracks from the same network source ripped with other apps (musicmatch) play flawlessly.

track properties: CBR 128kbit, 44.1kHz, MPEG-1 III

I really like cdex, but I'm at the point of changing either cdex or jajuk.

Thanks for your help.

This seems to be a specific case or perhaps do you use a cdex special option ? Did you try several tracks or albums ? As you may know, jajuk simply launches a mplayer process to play the file so it should work (which version of mplayer did you tested BTW ?).

Please provide :

  • logs (From main window : Help-> show debug traces)
  • a sample file at bertrand *a_t% florat Do--T net.

I play with jajuk 1.6.3 the file you sent without any problem nor under Windows XP SP2 nor under Linux. Please send logs if the problem keeps on.

Is it possible the file was accessed by another application at the same time? We know of this problem on aTunes side (tag of playing file can not be edited under Windows).

I don't think so because simply playing a file just requires read rights, not write ones and several mplayer processes (mplayer uses mplayer as well) are able to access to a single file (I just tested it sucessfuly)
